The VHF version will cover a 5 MHZ window of frequencies in the VHF hi-band and the UHF version will cover a 10 MHZ window. These are available in BNC(M) and TNC(M) connectors as well as versions for most Motorola handhelds. 50-75 mile ranges while in line of sight with 5 watt handhelds are regularly reported by Park and Forest Services. The MR-156 version of this antenna covers the 156 -157 MHZ Marine Band and is popular with marine users around the world; offering them range which they could never before achieve. The AR-125 version of this antenna covers the tower frequencies in the aircraft band, and is also widely used worldwide by aircraft pilots. For rough terrain, the telescopic section can be replaced with our optional, bladed radiator section, which allows continuous use in heavily wooded areas.
